JEWELRY CARE
All of our jewelry will be shipped in a gift box, along with a care card to explain the best way to keep your jewelry looking new and fresh.
Sterling Silver:
Silver will naturally tarnish when exposed to the air, so storing it in an airtight container (ziplocks work great!) will help to minimize the amount of care necessary. To maintain the matte finish, you can use a toothbrush with any white toothpaste, or even bon-ami household cleaner.
18K Vermeil Gold:
Our gold vermeil jewelry is a heavy 18k gold plating over sterling silver. The quality of our plating is excellent, and to ensure that it lasts a long time, please store your jewelry in an airtight container when not being worn. In addition, plated jewelry should not be worn in swimming pools, while bathing, or while putting on perfumes or hairspray. If you would like to clean your plated jewelry, please do not use harsh chemicals - even jewelry cleaners. Gently rub using mild soap and water for best results.
Patina (Blackened) Sterling Silver:
To achieve the matte black finish on sterling silver, the metal is oxidized until its surface reaches a uniform black color, then sprayed with a protective coating. The patina jewelry should not be cleaned like sterling silver and one should avoid exposure to harsh chemicals.
